The term of the Financing Basics!

The term financing is commonly used to explain the acquisition of loans from banks or other financial institutions. Funding is usually provided to business owners, either to be used as seed capital or to support an ongoing business. Some businesses may require financing to help them through a difficult period, or just to provide some liquidity until more current assets are converted into cash. In addition, funding is also provided to companies that expand their business quickly and require money to support their new activities and facilities.

Because of high interest and high risks that come with financing, small business owners are often forced to examine their situation from all angles before making a decision on funding. This is because there are a whole range of loan types on the market, each of them for different purposes and with different interest rates, maturity and loan conditions. Apart from doing business owners do not want to miscalculate their loan amounts to get a larger loan amount will mean more responsibility for the company while getting a smaller loan will produce a situation of lack of funding.

Conversely, banks and financial institutions function to provide financing facilities in order to profit from the interest payable by borrowers. In return, the monthly repayment amount from the company, including interest. Banks normally lend by mortgage of immovable assets to the banks as collateral. In case of default in payment, the lender will sell assets to recover your debt to them. However, there may be cases that lenders grant loans without the need for security but with higher interest rates and stricter qualifying procedures.

Apart from obtaining financing from lenders, small business owners are also eligible for loans from government fund agencies such as the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), or local governments. These agencies provide financing to boost growth of small businesses in the country, and usually make criteria more flexible compared to the banks. The Small Business Loan, run by the SBA, they act as a guarantor for the borrower to get them to borrow for a longer period of SBA's lending partners.

All the funding sources mentioned so far are generally known as debt financing. This type of financing would be ideal for companies that have a high equity to debt ratio, which means that the owners of the company has invested more capital in proportion to the amount of debt is achieved. But in cases where equity to debt ratio is low, it may be difficult for a company to obtain debt financing. Therefore, it is Alterative that this would be to work with equity financing instead.

Equity financing would be support from friends, family or employees in exchange for shares in the company. In addition, venture capitalists are also another source of equity financing, there has been a common source of income, especially since dot com boom.

Venture investors are sophisticated investors and is ready to take a huge risk in return for their investment. However, with the involvement of a venture capitalist, and stricter accounting procedures to be adopted, in addition to the involvement of venture capitalists in the major decisions.

It is not easy to obtain financing from venture capitalists, as they expect high returns on their investments in exchange for the high risks. Many applicants are screened through yearly, with only a handful that will actually be funded. Besides expect venture capitalists to grow their companies into regional brands within a short period. Getting listed company is also one of the main goals of venture capitalists.

In short, there are many ways in which funding can be provided. Ultimately it is up to the business owner to decide on the funding source that would be best suited to the company. Since there are advantages and disadvantages to each, a financial and situational awareness evaluation of the company would be a great help to make the right decision.

TCS to hire 8,500 trainees! and 3,000 laterals in Q4

India’s top IT firm TCS has announced that it has decided to hire about 8,500 trainees and 3,000 laterals in Q4.

It is to be noted that TCS has hired 8,703 trainees in Q3. TCS' Vice President and Head, Global Human Resources, Ajoyendra Mukherjee confirmed the news.

"We have already employed 8,703 trainees in Q3 and expect to add 8,500 more trainees in Q4 FY 10. We have also hired 3,000 laterals in Q3 and given the growth we may continue to hire in Q4 as well"—he said.

Although the company had a significant growth in the recruitment process in Q3, TCS has announced it will still continue to look for more employees in Q4.

"We have had significant employee additions in Q3 and still have increased our talent utilisation to industry leading levels. We remain prepared to meet the growth in demand," Mukherjee said.

End of deemed university era soon!

After the announcement made by the Centre that 44 deemed universities are to be derecognized, students of two deemed universities in Tamil Nadu turned violent. The two deemed universities where students engaged in burning university property were Saveetha School of Engineering in Thandalam and Meenakshi University campus at Mangadu. Following this, the universities were closed indefinitely.

Though the government was quick enough to announce that the future of the students studying with these universities is secure, the students did not heed to the declaration.

Meanwhile, the Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal said that the deemed university format itself will be abolished in India.

Speaking at the 10th Editor's Conference on social sector issues, Sibal said, "The concept of deemed universities from the country will go in the near future and this is part of the reform process. We are putting in place the required legislations."

He also stated that the 44 deemed universities were not derecognized and the center has only moved an affidavit in the Supreme Court. The minister assured that no student will suffer due to this move.

2 lakh students take to streets for T!

On the call given by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of private educational institutions, over two lakh students in the city and elsewhere in the district, took to the streets from 10 am to 12 noon, raising pro-Telangana slogans on Tuesday. On NH 202, students also took out pro-Telangana rallies at different places, blocking traffic from Warangal to Eturanagaram.

At Kakatiya University (KU) where nine KU JAC members are on a fast-unto-death since Monday, people from all walks of life including students and local politicians thronged the hunger strike site at SDLCE, KU to extend moral support.

The KUJAC, which is part of the Telangana Students’ JAC consisting of all six universities in the T-region, has banned the use of party flags in the varsity.

“Those who come to express solidarity with the agitating students have been requested not to carry any party flag to the hunger strike site as the T-agitation should not be given a political colour,” said Mr K. Vasudeva Reddy, KUJAC Warangal district convenor.

Rallies by Intermediate, degree, PG, engineering, pharmacy, BEd and other professional courses students’ kept arriving in the campus. Those visiting the hunger strike site have pro-mised to sponsor all needs of the students including food, tents, water, placards, loudspeakers and others.

“The KU employees JAC has promised to provide us with food,” said Mr Vasudeva Reddy. On Tuesday, Mr Puli Ravi, Telangana NRIs’ JAC representative donated Rs 25,000 to the KUJAC.

Similarly, Mr ‘Karate’ Prabhakar, Praja Telangana (urban) president donated Rs 1.30 lakh to the KUJAC on Monday as ex-gratia for all T-victims in the district.

When TD politburo member Mr K. Srihari came to the KU, students demanded resignations of all Telangana TD politicians from their party. Assuaging their feelings, Mr Srihari said, “Telangana state is more important than the TD. If TD chief Mr N. Chandrab-abu Naidu says no to Telangana, we will be with you.”

Meanwhile, KUJAC me-mbers demanded immediate medical support for Kaviraj, an OU student, whose kidneys had failed during participation in the T-agitation.
